Dejan Aćimović director


Birth: 20. 5. 1963., Čapljina, Bosna i Hercegovina


He was originally an actor of distinctive appearance, having a sturdy physique, rough face and a strong physical presence. During 1990s, Aćimović established himself as a expressive episodic actor, often portraying villains. He made his acting debut in 1988, in the film Život sa stricem by Krsto Papić, and after that appeared in many other Croatian films (e.g. Čaruga, Zlatne godine, Konjanik) and television series (Novo doba by Hrvoje Hribar, 2002). He also appeared in some international film productions (e.g. Remake by Dino Mustafić, 2003). As a director he made his debut in 2000 with the feature-length film Je li jasno, prijatelju?. In the subgenre of prison films, Aćimović also appeared as an actor and won the award for Best Supporting Actor at the Pula Film Festival.
