Mladen Juran director


Birth: 8. 5. 1942., Zagreb


He studied economics at the University of Economics in Zagreb, and drama arts at the Théatre National Populaire in Paris. From the mid 70’s to the mid 80’s, for Television Zagreb (today Croatian radiotelevision), he directed many series and documentaries (e.g. Zadnja pošta Zagreb, 1976-1979). He also directed a few short documentaries (the most notable of which are Transatlantic, 1981, and Škola narodnog zdravlja, 1984). Interested in the stories of Croatian emigrants to America, he made the documentary Hrvati i Amerika (1992), and his debut feature film Transatlantic (1998). He is the author of the TV-drama Kositreno srce (1994).
