Neven Hitrec director


Birth: 30. 4. 1967., Zagreb


Hitrec took a degree in film and television directing from the Academy of Drama Arts in Zagreb. He is the author of notable short documentaries, e.g. Dvorana, a story about mentally retarded children during the war, and 730 dana poslije, about the people exiled from Vukovar (both were made in 1993). His only feature film to date is Bogorodica. It is a story about the Croatian War of Independence, based on the novel and screenplay by his father, Hrvoje Hitrec.
